Please take a moment to realize the complexity of the body you have been given!
Seriously do you realize the true nature of the system that has been given to you freely and without cost? If you have the full function of all your body parts given to you at birth by your parents (God, Jesus, Allah, Buddha whom ever you credit life to, think of what a gift you have been blessed to have. No IPhone 4, 4s or 5 could even come close to the complexity of the human body which you were given yet look at how we treat the body! We buy $90.00 Otter box cases for our $200.00 iPhones but I ride my bike to work and see someone smoking a cigarette with no concern at all.
If you think about the true cost substance abuse has on the human body it is huge! Think of all the cells in the lungs and throat that have to process the chemicals being forced upon them by the person the cells are trying to protect. Think of the liver that and kidneys that have to fix the body because the person in charge has guzzled down a fifth of liquor or a six pack of beer. The technology that we have used our minds to create has made us forget and even often abuse the most technological and natural system ever put together the human body.
Think of the euphoric feelings you get after a long run, or a awesome bike ride the way your mood is uplifted you feel almost spiritual. I have never surfed but can only imagine that no matter what sport is your passion the feelings are not unique to anyone but shared amongst everyone. Possibly forgotten as we enter adulthood but as children we run, bike, climb trees, and are usually at an ever active state. Then as we age we turn toward substances, and other non active hobbies to occupy our time.
If ever we are as humans to reach that climatic point of euphoric oneness with self we must first reconnect the mind with how important the body is. Follow the seldom traveled path and concentrate on the gift we have been so blessed to be given then teach others to not take for granted what can easily disappear. Have you noticed that we're only fully aware of the importance of our bodies when something is already wrong. Instead we must continue to explain to our children what an amazing gift they have been given. How proper care should be advised to keep the ultimate engine running smoothly for years to come. Then teach by example the benefits of activity at all levels and obtaining it at all costs.

What Caused the Death of the Bicycle as a form of Transportation?
Lets face it there are bicycle commuters few and far between these days. Has the thrill of the ride changed any over the course of the last 100 years? No. Has the bike changed substantially in form from the early 1900's? No. The energy changed. If you know the laws of energy then you probably know it follows the path of lest resistance. Since the human body is made up of hundreds of thousands of energetic firings happening at all times throughout the body it seems logical that we to will follow the path of least resistance.
But unlike that massive lighting bolt streaking across the sky releasing it's protons and neutrons into the ground or surrounding atmosphere our bodies tend to store the extra energy as fat... As the fight for oil continues and obesity climbs at an ever constant rate when will we see that following the easiest path does not always lead to the best results?
