I was on my way to work returning from my lunch break when I saw this amazing site. It was a child on a bike he was attempting to pop a wheelie on his BMX bike, brought back memories from the thousands of times I tried that on my old BMX bike as a kid. Man I love to see people on bikes, kids, adults, Pro riders on T.V in the Tour De France it's energy in motion, balance and the thoughts and dreams of a better tomorrow. I'm well aware we all love our cars it's pretty evident I believe statically speaking 99% of the trips we make are by car. But look at what was lost by the invention of the automobile.
Remember looking over at the face of another rider and saying hello as you pedal side by side before passing by? When I'm in my car and look over at a stop light all I see is this freaking tint these days it seems I'm the last of the tent-less cars on the road. I just enjoy looking out at the world to much to darken my view I know it sounds crazy but it is true I like to look at everything! If I wanted to have a constant cave like view I would have built my home in a cave! Maybe everyone just wants that Hollywood secrecy when they drive down the road?
And what I love most about this new modification of car age we appear to be in is the huge tail pipes! That's about as cool at the chrome balls hanging off the back of some trucks man that's class if you ask me......Lol
I wonder if anyone in the female population see's balls hanging off the back of a truck and says "Oh I wonder who that guy is bet he is sexy I just have to meet him!" Really I'm about to get off my soap box just let me finish venting, on the note of the huge tail pipes someone please tell these people it has no revelation to penis size! Putting a bigger tail pipe on the back of your car sometimes decrease horse power and makes your already annoying driving even louder. Thanks for replacing what took engineers months to put together an efficient effective design with your own custom pipe. Now we all can fully understand how board you are on the weekends.
So I'm getting old....ten years ago my car was tinted, with a huge annoying exhaust pipe and some speakers that would now permanently destroy my hearing. See I admitted it. That was also before I discovered cycling! It was really just not something you saw much in Maysville KY and even now it just starting to spread. But after all that is really why I'm here not to just vent to the web but to build encouragement for cycling. Pictures and better posts are coming! I hope!
Peace
Pedal Strong
